Looking for an M.S. or M.A. level professional with an interest in obtaining their Ph.D. under Dr. Kris Brock CCC-SLP. Candidates with degrees in non-SLP related fields as well as those practicing SLPs are encouraged to apply. Strong applicants are individuals that have an interest in animation technology and interface designs for AAC systems with a history of publications, thesis work, or lab experience. The populations the AACCT Lab serves includes children with typical development, children with developmental disabilities, persons with aphasia, and bilingual persons with aphasia.
Student Research Assistants-Paid
Fall 2021
Student research assistants will recruit potential participants, conduct experiments, analyze data, engage in AACCT Lab meetings, and disseminate the research through conventions and publication mechanisms.
Student Research Volunteers-Unpaid
Fall 2021
Unpaid, student research assistants will participate in AACCT Lab meetings and research in order to develop their clinical skills as well as increase their experience with lab work prior to graduate school application. Additionally, you may help Dr. Brock with his duties as the President Elect of the Idaho Speech, Language, and Hearing Association. Pre-professionals and B.S. candidates are encouraged to apply. M.S. level students at ISU in the SLP program seeking volunteer hours for their professional portfolio may also apply.
